Stand-Up comedy from Float Loaf Productions is back to the American Woodmark stage at Loft 129 with another great line-up of the East Coast’s best comics! This show featues 5 fantastic comedians including the headliner Neil Rubenstein. The Show is hosted by local favorite Tate Griffen. Other featured comedians (in addition to Neil and Tate) include Lennon Free, Rebecca Canterbury, and Cory Bush. Just $15!
Comedian Neil Rubenstein is a burly, tattooed guy who plays against type; kind, cerebral, but still casually mentions past illegal activities (running a poker room, owning a brothel, etc.) the way one might reference a Renaissance Lit course you took in college. In addition to headlining comedy clubs across the country, Neil has appeared on several shows including The Sopranos, 30 Rock, The Mentalist and The Blacklist.
Tate Griffen is a former professional wrestler who has tagged into the standup comedy arena. At 6'5" and 300 lbs, Tate's quick wit, storytelling style and sensitive demeanor provide a humorous contrast and reminds us that you can't always judge a book by it's cover!
Tate has appeared at comedy clubs and theaters from North Carolina to Wisconsin and has featured for national headliners Sonya White, Mark Riccadonna, John Knight, Johnny Watson and Bill Boronkay as well as having worked with Mick Foley, Ric Flair, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Kevin Nash and more. Tate also recently released his first comedy album (Tate Griffen: No Stag Too Small) available through iTunes, Amazon and Google Play as well as dozens of other streaming services worldwide. Tate is currently preparing for his 2nd album recording which will take place right here at Loft129 in November!
Lennon Free is a PA comic who has been doing comedy for 14 years and is a staple at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone. He often performs with names such as Earl David Reed, John Caparulo, and Shane Gillis.
A lifelong resident of Planet Earth, Rebecca Canterbury is a Pittsburgh-based comedian who has performed at venues like Arcade Comedy, Thunderbird Music Hall, Unplanned Comedy Warehouse, and the Improv. When she’s not telling jokes, Rebecca enjoys peanut butter pretzels and repeatedly telling people that she hasn’t read The Canterbury Tales, though she did once date a guy named Chauceer. In retrospect, she would have preferred the book.
Cory Bush. The Heavyweight of hilarity has been main eventing clubs and theaters for the last 5 years, garnering big laughs from big crowds up amd down the east coast. Cory is the co-owner of Floatloaf Comedy.
