Hello June w/ opening act Megan Jean and Byrne Duo

A double billing with opener Megan Jean and Byrne Duo and headliner Hello June!

Hello June is a Charleston, West Virginia-based indie/alt rock band known for their intimate songwriting and energetic live shows.  Garnering much acclaim, their songs are known for being emotionally open and resonant. Hello June explores songs that are emotional, with varied feelings, with leaps of faith, death, birth, despair & hope. They have received praise from notable media outlets such as NPR Music, No Depression Magazine, and The Nashville Scene.

Hello June is a group comprised of Sarah Rudy (guitar/lead vocals) who not only has superb warm Bohemian-style vocals she has a unique look that dictates her showcase. She doesn’t seem to follow the pack.

Subtle, expressive, thick with pastel charms & moody passages. Sarah has that inherent vocal ambiance that floats through the ears rather than penetrates. Lines like “You called me pretty under street lights/I caught you lookin’ now we can’t look away.” The musicians play with that same intricate precision with sensibility. Typical of those bands mentioned who paint their tales with bold brush stroke images & add atmospherics.

Opening up and back to the Loft 129 stage are local favorites, Megan Jean and Byrne Klay. Singer/Songwriter Megan Jean and multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Byrne Klay are a married musical collaboration that began in New York City in 2004 while Jean was studying theatre at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts
and Klay jazz at New School University. As a duo, they have been featured on PBS’s Music Voyager, Heartland Network's More Than the Music, won Floydfest’s On The Rise Competition, and played the Kennedy
Center’s Millennium Stage.

Tickets are only $10 in advance, $15 at the door
